They require less force from the user, making them ideal for repetitive cuts. They even have a dark, matte finish which prevents eye strain caused by reflective glare and increases the visibility of the workpiece. They thought of everything! These cutters have 0.2 mm misalignment which means they will perform the cleanest cut in the market but with the best durability. β£β£ β£β£ The Prong Settingβ£β£ β£β£ For this beginner friendly prong setting I used 19g (.90mm) sterling silver wire. These will work harden enough to be suitable for earrings. I wouldnβt recommend for a ring personally. What I like about these prongs is that they arenβt about precision, they are quick and can easily be made in an afternoon. They also donβt require a ton of metal making them cost effective. It is impossible to show all the steps in a 1 minute reel so if you have questions please let me know. I used a Mooreβs disc and a silicone wheel to shape my prongs after using my LindstrΓΆm cutters to trim them back. I also used my flat pliers to carefully apply pressure to the prongs and get them fitting tight (this also work hardens).
