Here is a chain making tutorial from @richdrop.gr - “This is my "how to" on foxtail chain!
1) Fire this silver to get soft. Make the jump rings, tape it and cut it. The more symmetrical the better. 2) I solder them and make them ovale with my round nose pliers. 3) I push them in the center to make them bow shaped. 4)I fold it in the center, connecting the two edges and I have my first link. 5)I take my next bow pull it through my first link and fold. 6)The third bow will pass through the two previous links. If it gets too tight open with a thin tool. 7) Continue until desired length. 8) To make it even now that my chain is still soft I pull it through a drawplate in the first three larger holes. My chain now became longer and stiffer. You can fire it a little if you wish. But I roll it like pasta with my hands with a cloth or crimp it in my hands slightly to get a nice movement on the chain. Next I oxidise my silver before buffing/polishing. And this is optional depending how you want your chain to look.
Voilà! My necklace is ready!!! Feel free to ask questions or add tips! I would love to hear what you think!” Thank you SO much sharing this super cool chain and so many process pics! We really appreciate it!! #jewelrymakingtutorial #chainmaking #chainmakingtechnique
