Here is a soldering tip from @serendipiastudio - “As a soldering surface, I use kiln brick (also known as fire brick). It has excellent heat retention and reflects heat well too, making it an ideal soldering surface. Look for soft kiln brick at ceramic suppliers or even Amazon; they’re inexpensive. They are pretty long so I cut them in half. I also poke some holes in the top with the end of a solder pick for better heat distribution. They last a long time, and when the top gets mucky with flux and other messiness, you can rub it on a hard surface to reveal a clean layer. You can turn it over to use the other side, too!” Thank you so much for sending this tip! We appreciate it ❤️ I love seeing people’s soldering areas and setups!
