I wanted to revisit this tip and break it down a little more because it was such a popular one when I shared it years ago. If you’re trying to solder a jump ring on straight and centered, creating a small indentation in a hard solderite board can make the whole process so much easier and way more foolproof. The goal is to drill deep enough that the jump ring sits about halfway down, which helps hold it in place exactly where you want it while you solder. It’s a simple setup trick, but it can save a lot of frustration and help with accuracy.
