Here’s a tool for when you are sanding small, flat areas or around bezels and curves–Sanding Boards from @riogrande (Item #: 337458)! I know what some of you must be thinking: “that looks like a nail file”, and you are absolutely right. You can definitely use a nail file and we’ve shared several tips like that; however, an average nail file is between 100-600 grit and it can be hard to determine the grit too. This awesome set includes six boards of six grits: 3,000, 2,500, 2,000, 1,200, 800, and 400. It gives me the range I need to gradually buff out scratches and create a beautiful finish with finer grits. They’re even color-coded! I pinned the chart it came with above my bench so I can memorize it. I like sanding boards because they provide a flat surface if you place them down on your bench to sand but they are also great for curved surfaces as they’re slightly flexible and easy on your hands. The set cost is $8.45 so it’s a nice add-on item next time you place an order with @riogrande. I have found that they’re long-lasting too! The best part–when you are done with them you can save them to be sent to your refiner! Note that not all refiners take this kind of scrap but some do so save them! Rio is offering our community 10% off this set with code MTLSMITH5 now through 10/2/19. A huge thank you for sponsoring this post and supporting the page! #sponsored #riojeweler #jewelrytools
