@giagrams website - a stone shouldn’t go in an ultrasonic if it’s susceptible to heat and temperature changes, examples: tanzanite, moonstone, iolite, kunzite, lapis lazuli, malachite, opal, opal, topaz, turquoise, zircon. You could also run into problems if the gem itself has been treated to enhance color, or been impregnated with oil, plastic or wax! If you aren’t sure air on the side of caution and avoid placing your piece in the ultrasonic.
