This tip was shared by both @lm6d and @refraction_manufacturing years ago and it’s one I use on a regular basis in my studio. The dapping block can be used to true up/round a heavy gauge jump ring or ring band by giving it a few hits on each side. This is typically going to work best for round wire, curved edges etc. I’d be careful with certain decorative wires. If you have other ways you use your dapping block PLEASE send me videos. I am looking to build up a stockpile of tips to share with our community :) email me at tips@metalsmithsociety.com thank you friends!
