Here is a classic tip for glueing a design to metal for sawing from @thistlehandmadejewellery - “Because I make a lot of multiples, I photocopy my patterns and arrange them on a sheet of paper in order to make production as efficient as possible, and with as little waste as possible. I keep a file of my pattern sheets (ok, it's actually a pile on my desk) so that I can I can easily photocopy them when needed. If I were really smart I'd scan them and keep them on my computer but that's, like, next level organization for me. :) Rubber cement is absolutely excellent for gluing paper patterns to metal. Apply a thin but even coat to both paper and metal, position the paper and then gently burnish it with your fingers, the end of a pencil, or whatever else is within reach. If your bench is a messy as mine you'll have many stray objects to choose from. It dries in less than a minute, stays put throughout cutting, and peels off easily afterwards. Sometimes a bit of glue residue remains on the metal but it rubs off easily. One of the bonus things about a paper pattern is that a small drill bit will not slip on it, and so one can drill pilot holes without having to use a centre punch first. “ Love that there are some additional tips peppered throughout!
