Here is a tip to prevent solder flow from
@nrjewellerydesign - “A pencil is all you need to stop messy solder overflow. It's perfect for when you need to solder bails - just gently 'colour in' either side of the piece (avoiding the edge where you want the solder to flow). The pencil will leave a barrier that prevents solder flow. I like to use a TINY blob of solder paste on the edge and it works like a charm. No messy solder to clean up and the pencil can be wiped off when it comes out the pickle pot.” Thank you so much for sending me the pics of this technique!
